I hate art thieves!

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 20, 2008, 12:31 PM
Let it be said that a very VERY small sample of my artwork has been posted here. I have mostly posted my work to Fur Affinity, or my website, or VCL. But that does not mean that I have abandoned any of my work, or that I won't notice when something of mine has been stolen.

Exhibit A: [link]
Ein, watercolor. Done WAAAAAAAAAAAY back in 2003. I posted it to my website gallery. Now, this piece had been stolen a couple of times, but I've always been able to get DA to take it down. I updated the watermark on it this year, so it reflects the 2008 date.

Exhibit B:

Stolen, reversen image. Its been traced as a school project for this Deviant... who is 17 and ought to know better. Passing someone else's art off as your own? And you're in art school? Come on, that's just pathetic.

It's been reported to the DA mods and hopefully it will be removed soon.

*growls* This kind of behavior just pisses me off.

EDIT 6/23/08: Nevermind. The report I made to the DA mods paid off- the submission in question was removed. I can go back to being a happy kitty now. Thanks, DA!

EDIT 2: Dangit, what is it with thieves ans this piece? [link]

Starting Out

Hellllloooooooooooooo DeviantART!

Okay, so I finally caved in and got an account. I've been on FurAffinity and JaxPad, resisting the lure of DA... and suddenly here I am. I'll blame both a sudden lack of common sense and the desire to get a little more attention for my artwork as the deciding factors. DA has such a wide audience.

Just to provide a little more info about me- I'm Nicole Spradling- soon be Nicole Holland (getting married in 5 months!)- and I've been an artist since I could hold a pencil. Not that I would have considered myself an "artist" then, just someone that liked to draw. I've been running my own art studio, Studio Neko-Neko, for the last 3 years, making a small profit on my artwork. I hope to do a little more with my work in future, other than print sales and t-shirt making, but hey- everyone has to start somewhere.

I look forward to offering my talents to the DA community and improving my methods by learning from the plethora of talented artists here.
